In 2008, Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc. and the Institute of Acoustics, Tongji University established
a joint lab located on the campus of Tongji University in Shanghai. The Institute of Acoustics at
Tongji University is the leading research institute in laser ultrasonics in China. The objectives of
the Joint Laser Ultrasonic Testing (LUT) Lab are to:
- Support LUT technology development and education in China;
- Promote development of various industrial applications based on LUT technologies;
- Promote commercialization of LUT based industrial applications in China; and
- Provide training and technical support for LUT customers in China.
