Intelligent Optical Systems, Inc.  seeks to hire a senior research scientist for our company in Torrance, CA. The successful candidate will research and develop chemically-sensitive sensor elements and sensor systems based on materials that undergo chemically-induced changes in their optical properties;  develop, improve and test new products to create new technologies; create novel organic and inorganic chemical indicator systems to address new analytes and test their suitability for use in a variety of sensor formats; analyze, interpret and present research findings to multidisciplinary research groups.

 

The position is full-time (40+ hours per week).
